The Philadelphia Eagles fans have been crying out to someone to help build a new stadium so they could get out of Veterans Stadium. In the 2003 season their cries were answered with a new state-of-the art facility dubbed Lincoln Financial Field. The facility is leaps and bounds better than the “vet” as many fans called Veterans Stadium. The stadium features over 3,000 more seats, almost double the luxury suites, and moved the seats twice as close to the field then the front row at the vet. The stadium also features three Daktronics HDTV screens as opposed to the one Standard Phanavison at Veterans Stadium and best of all, the bathroom to man ratio changed from 319:1 at the vet to 58:1 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Lincoln Financial Field holds a veritable cornucopia of events within its walls. It’s played host to one huge soccer match that featured the English Premiere League team the Manchester United Red Devils. The Red Devils will also be returning to the city to play against Glasgow Celtic a Scottish Premiere League power house. The stadium also serves as the home field for the Temple University Owls football team. The field will also be the site of the 2005 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship Weekend.

This Stadium had no former names but it did replace Philadelphia Veterans Stadium or also knows as "The Vet", which was in use from 1971 until 2003.
